CHASSIS AND SET-UP $695 3/4 Day (Deposit $350)
This course involves NO actual racing at the track. This is a "hands on", 3/4
day chassis class only. The student and their crew will bring their QM to FLQMS
for a complete set up. Chassis set up will include having your shocks dyno’d,
rating your springs, setting the front-end and balancing the chassis.
Most parents think once they have purchased a Brand New QM or even a used QM
that it is ready to race – that is far from the truth! Every race car from a QM
to a Nextel Cup Car has to be set up! Getting your QM set up properly will bring
you one step closer to Victory Circle! Plus this will teach the "handlers” what
they need to do to the QM at the race track. This course is knowledge for both
the driver and the handler.
The chassis setup involves a "basic" baseline setup. Because this setup may not
be exactly the same for every driver, we highly recommend an "on track" chassis
evaluation (additional charges apply). These additional laps will take place at
a later date. This will consist of additional laps in the car at the track.
These laps are NOT for the seat time, but to find out how the car and student
work together. Additional changes to the setup will be made depending on what
the car tells us (tire pressure and tire temperatures will tell the story) and
what the student tells us about how the QM reacts to the changes.
Additional Laps are $35 per rotation **. (aprox. 13 laps)
(** This program at the track would have to happen when we are already having a
QM School. If you decide to schedule at any "other" time then Labor, Track
rental, insurance and ambulance charges would apply in addition to the $35 per
rotation charge, please call for exact charges.)

ADVANCED CLASS: "ONE ON ONE" $1200 Full Day ($600 Deposit)
This course is designed to give the 1st time driver full exposure to QM Racing.
It also provides the experienced racer who has not yet reached Victory Circle
“enough”, the professional skills needed to go fast, be smooth and take the
checkered flag more. You will bring your QM to the FLQMS for a detailed “one on
one” setup on your QM. Chassis set up will include having your shocks dyno’d,
rating your springs, setting the front-end, balancing the chassis and using The
New True Laser Track system to complete the set up on your QM. (Chassis will
take one full day).
The chassis setup at the race shop involves a "Advanced" baseline setup. We will
make additional adjustments to the setup at the track (at a later date). Because
every driver is different, we want the car to feel right for them. At this point
we head to the race track. At the race track you will get detailed instructions
pertaining to the race surface and then it’s “show time” ..time to suit up and
drive. This will consist of additional laps in the car at the track. These laps
are NOT for the seat time, but to find out how the car and student work
together. Additional changes to the setup will be made depending on what the car
tells us (tire pressure and tire temperatures will tell the story) and what the
student tells us about how the QM reacts to the changes. There is no “SET” lap
count in this exercise. A professional timer will provide you detailed timing
sheets and records of chassis changes. These sheets will be invaluable to you in
the future. We will continue until the driver is comfortable with the new
chassis changes. We will end the driving part of this program on a high note
with driver, Coach Mike and the Handler are HAPPY!
“One on One Racing”, is using Racing Radio Communication. This is a very intense
QM racing day.
** Additional fees: Track Rental, Insurance & Ambulance.
