The Isaac® Head and Neck Restraint
The Isaac® head and neck restraint is the only product that keeps the belts on the driver's shoulders, reduces lateral head torque by up to 85% and exceeds performance requirements for neck tension in the most severe SFI crash test.

Isaac® systems are designed to minimize head and neck injuries suffered by racing drivers without unnecessarily restricting head position. Unlike some "head restraints," which work by limiting the position of the head, Isaac® systems work by limiting the load on the head.

The Isaac system will move from car to car EASILY because it slides off the 2" QM seat belts. Unlike the Shock version this type can go to all the different QM cars that a driver drives by just pulling the strap system past the buckles (the driver uses the same helmet which has the Isaac mounting system on it). This Isaac system will easily slide past a 3" seat belt on stock cars also BUT we recommend the Shock System for the Big Cars which is the type that Mike wears. For more information on the Shock System visit the Isaac Direct link below.

You have 3 Models to chose from:

  • # 1 The Ultimate Isaac®: ($895) The most popular model and the model that Michael Loescher wears. In this model, spring-loaded detent pins are replaced with positive-lock, quick-release pins. These pins are easily installed and removed by depressing a release button on the end of the pin. Optional dual-acting, push/pull quick-release pins are also available.
The helmet positive-lock, quick-release pins are military grade (MIL-Q9858) made of corrosion resistant 440C, 17-7PH and 300 series stainless steels meeting quality specifications QQ-S-763/766, QQ-A-225/6, QQ-A-225/5, AMS 5643/5657/5678, ASTM-A-313, or ASTM-A581/582.

  • # 2 The Ultimate Isaac (Shorter Version)®: ($795) Identical to the Ultimate model, but uses shorter shock absorbers for the smaller driver.

  • # 3 The Isaac Link System: ($295) The new Isaac® Link™, which is very popular with Quarter Midget drivers, was designed for racers who are on a tight budget and want a good head and neck system, but don't want to invest in a great one. It doesn't work as well as other Isaac® systems, but is the best product every tested in the under $500 range. The Link™ uses certified mil spec parachute webbing (not dog leash material) in place of the damper assembly to reduce costs.

QUOTES from Isaac Link Users:

I purchased the Isaac head restraint system for my son who races Quarter Midgets and Bandoleros. We have found that this system is easy to use, very comfortable, and flexible due to the fact that it can be easily moved from one car to another. After one trip to the Emergency Room, we decided to buy the Isaac and have never regretted it. I would not send my driver out without it.
